Reece1. The service
Reece provides tools for capturing receipts, extracting information, organizing expenses, storing files, viewing statistics and preparing exports. Features may be changed, added or removed as the service develops.
2. Eligibility and account
You must be legally able to enter into these Terms. Personal Reece registration is optional, including before a subscription purchase or restoration. Guest mode uses an automatically created anonymous Firebase session so Reece can secure recognition requests and verify a guest entitlement without asking for an email address. If you choose to create an account, provide accurate information, protect your credentials and notify us of suspected unauthorized access.
The account code shown under Settings → Account is an internal Firebase identifier intended to help support locate the correct technical record. Share it only with Reece support when requested; it is not a password and does not by itself authorize account access.
3. Not accounting, tax or financial advice
Reece is an organizational tool. It does not provide accounting, tax, legal or financial advice. Automated recognition can be inaccurate. You are responsible for reviewing results and retaining originals required for tax, warranty, reimbursement or legal purposes.
4. Acceptable use
You may not misuse Reece, interfere with security or operation, attempt unauthorized access, upload unlawful or malicious content, infringe rights, or reverse-engineer protected portions except where applicable law expressly permits it.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of content you upload. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, reproduce and transmit that content only as needed to provide, maintain, secure and troubleshoot the user-facing service and fulfill your requests. This license does not permit us to sell your content, use it for advertising, or train generalized AI or machine-learning models.
After your separate AI consent, Reece sends a sanitized receipt-image copy to OpenAI with store: false, which disables Responses API application-state storage but does not by itself provide Zero Data Retention. Unless OpenAI has approved and configured Reece for Zero Data Retention or Modified Abuse Monitoring that excludes customer content, request and response content may remain in OpenAI abuse-monitoring logs for up to 30 days, subject to OpenAI’s documented legal and security exceptions; deleting a Reece account or guest profile cannot immediately remove those provider-controlled logs. Reece may keep the structured result, submitted-image hash and processing status in a private cache associated with the technical Firebase identifier; the submitted image is not stored in that cache. Cache records from every source—including camera, Photos, files, the share sheet and Gmail—expire within seven days of the recognition request, including unselected results. Disconnecting Gmail deletes the private recognition-request cache. Deleting the Reece account or guest profile also removes its private recognition cache. A one-way hashed deletion marker containing no receipt image or recognition result may remain solely to prevent an in-flight server task from recreating deleted cache data. Database deletion after an expiry is asynchronous and may not be immediate.
Supported JPEG and PNG upload copies have embedded photo metadata removed, while local original and processed files remain unchanged. Firebase Remote Config retrieves update configuration independently of the optional analytics setting. If analytics is enabled, Reece may link limited usage events to the internal Firebase user identifier; analytics and diagnostics remain optional and are off by default.
6. Availability and updates
We aim for reliable operation but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free extraction or compatibility with every receipt. Updates may be required for security or continued use.
7. Paid plans and App Store subscriptions
The license to use Reece downloaded from the App Store is governed by Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement (EULA). These Reece Terms describe the related Reece services and do not replace Apple’s standard app license.
Where available, Reece offers a Free plan and paid Plus and Premium plans. Paid plans are monthly or annual auto-renewable subscriptions purchased through Apple In-App Purchase. The features included, exact localized price, currency, taxes where applicable, and billing period are shown in Reece and in Apple’s purchase sheet before confirmation. Plan and subscription availability may vary by country or App Store storefront.
Payment is charged to the Apple Account at purchase confirmation. The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Apple may charge the renewal within 24 hours before that period ends. You can manage or cancel the subscription in the subscription settings of your Apple Account. Cancellation stops future renewal; paid access ordinarily continues until the end of the already paid period unless Apple states otherwise.
Apple processes subscription payments. Reece does not receive complete payment-card details. Billing, taxes, price changes, cancellations, and refunds are governed by Apple’s terms and processes; refund requests for App Store purchases must be submitted to Apple. Reece cannot issue an App Store refund directly.
For the public Reece 1.5.0 release, the standard monthly recognition allowance is 20 receipts on Free; Plus and Premium have no monthly recognition-count cap. Simultaneous processing is limited to 1 receipt on Free, 2 on Plus and 4 on Premium, and reasonable per-minute, security, fraud-prevention and service-capacity limits continue to apply to every plan.
Where offered, Premium users may connect Gmail with read-only permission and start a search for supported receipt attachments from the previous three months. Reece requests only attachment metadata and supported attachment bytes, not message snippets, message headers or body text, and does not change or delete email. After the user gives the separate AI-processing consent described in the Privacy Policy, supported attachment images may be recognized before the user chooses which results to add. Connecting Gmail is optional, Google data remains subject to the Limited Use commitments in the Privacy Policy, and disconnecting Gmail removes the associated local connection records and private recognition cache.
A personal Reece account is not required to purchase, use or restore a subscription. Guest access is recorded against a technical anonymous Firebase identifier after Reece verifies the signed App Store transaction, including its current and original transaction identifiers. Use “Restore purchases” while signed in to the Apple Account that owns the subscription.
If you later sign in or register, Reece asks for explicit confirmation before binding the subscription to that registered account. The first confirmed binding makes that account the only registered owner of the Apple subscription chain. Another registered account receives a “linked elsewhere” result and no paid access; signing in, signing out, reinstalling or restoring does not transfer the registered owner. To request a transfer to another registered account, contact support; any transfer requires verification and is not automatic. Binding or restoring a subscription never transfers receipts, expense profiles or other private data between accounts.
A refund, revocation or expiration may remove paid access from every guest or registered projection of that subscription. Deleting Reece or a Reece account does not cancel an active App Store subscription. If a registered owner account is deleted, a later binding to another registered account requires support verification. A verified guest restoration may remain available, but it does not restore deleted receipts, profiles or cloud data.
8. Intellectual property
The Reece software, name, icon, website, design and original materials belong to us or our licensors. Except for the limited right to use the service, no intellectual-property rights are transferred to you.
9. Suspension, termination and deletion
You may stop using Reece at any time and request account deletion. We may restrict or terminate access for serious misuse, security risk, legal requirement or material breach. Account deletion is handled under the Privacy Policy and deletion page. Deletion removes the account data described there but does not cancel an Apple subscription; cancellation is performed in Apple Account subscription settings.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Reece is provided “as is” and “as available”. We are not liable for decisions made solely from automated extraction, lost deductions, missed warranties, or indirect or consequential loss. Nothing excludes liability or mandatory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms for changes to the service or law. Material changes may be communicated through the app or website. Continued use after the effective date means acceptance where permitted by law.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without limiting mandatory consumer protections applicable in your country of residence.
